From modest beginnings to becoming one of the most influential presidents in United States history, Abraham Lincoln’s tale can inspire and give meaning to every generation. Working with the historians and museum directors at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, we helped them imagine how augmented reality offers more equitable and interesting access to Lincoln’s life. Scripting to casting then filming and animating a 3d holographic Abe, this project utilized nearly all our toolkit.

To create a style that feels like you can reach out and touch it, we developed a holographic 3d style where everything was seamlessly comped into live action scenes filmed within the walls of the real museum. We developed a sepia palette but added a modern glow to each artifact, piece of text, and to Lincoln himself.
