Calm Health
Calm
Like many, we use tools to stay mentally healthy: breathing exercises before school. Long walks after hard days. Quiet check-ins. The constant, gentle work of learning to be okay. So getting to collaborate with Calm on a short piece about their new platform for employers felt personal. Because mental health isn't a perk. It's infrastructure.
What could have been a typical introduction video became an anthem for taking care of our minds and bodies.

When 80%+ of businesses say mental health impacts performance, what they’re really saying is: supporting the wellbeing of their people is fundamental to how their organization functions. Calm needed a way to make that idea feel immediate and human, not simply communicate what the product does.
We wanted to honor the human side of that challenge with visuals that felt inviting, thoughtful, and beautiful.

Behind the Shield

With open hearts and a lens focused on education, we share these project files and details with you, our community, so that you may glean from them something inspirational.
Or tell us how we could have done it more efficiently! We hope our project files may help you in your pursuit of design, animation, and art; but we ask that you respect the artist in these files. In the brush strokes, in the layers of texture, and in each keyframe, sits a person who labored and agonized over their art. So, please use these for educational purposes and steal only the wisdom behind them not the content or ingredients.
Please. Thank you. And godspeed.
